A faith-based hospital serving Chuka and Tharaka-Nithi County
Consolata Cottage Hospital is situated in Chuka town — about 200 metres from the main stage along the Kaanwa highway, opposite Chuka Boarding Primary School and St Joseph Catholic Church.
The hospital combines outpatient and inpatient services with the pastoral character of its founding mission: staff are trained clinicians first, but the hospital's identity is one of consolation as much as cure.
- SHA-accredited — covered under Kenya's national Social Health Authority scheme, with fee-for-service also available.
- Outpatient services including Mother & Child Health, a Comprehensive Care Clinic, and special clinics such as ENT, Audiology, Dental, Physiotherapy and Medical Imaging.
- Inpatient wards, maternity & nursery, and a surgical theatre.
- A Level 4B hospital — covering the full range of services below referral (Level 5) hospital care.
