Physiotherapy

A Sister of the hospital walking with the aid of a cane

Committed to walking alongside every patient's recovery.

Hands-on rehabilitation and recovery

Recovery does not always end when a cast comes off or a patient leaves theatre. Our Physiotherapy service helps patients regain movement, strength and independence afterwards.

Physiotherapy works closely with Theatre and the medical wards, picking up patients recovering from fractures, surgery, or a stroke, and guiding them through rehabilitation.

What We Offer

Rehabilitation for patients recovering from injury, surgery or illness

    • Post-injury and post-surgical rehabilitation
    • Rehabilitation following fracture treatment and cast removal
    • Stroke rehabilitation
    • Pain management
    • Mobility and gait training
    • Exercise therapy
Ward space used for recovering patients

Ward space where recovering patients are supported before and after physiotherapy.

Working alongside the whole hospital

Because physiotherapy sits close to Theatre, Medical Wards and the Plaster Room, patients can move from surgery or casting straight into a rehabilitation plan without unnecessary delay.

What to expect at a Level 4B hospital

General rehabilitative physiotherapy is provided here for patients recovering from common injuries, fractures, surgery and stroke. Complex neuro-rehabilitation is referred to a specialist or Level 5 facility.
