Medical Imaging
The hospital's X-ray unit.
X-ray and ultrasound, on site
Our Medical Imaging unit gives clinicians a look inside, without sending patients elsewhere for the most common scans — supporting diagnosis for everything from a suspected fracture to a routine antenatal check.
Both X-ray and ultrasound are available on site, with images read and reported back to the requesting department the same day.
What We Offer
General radiography and ultrasound scanning
- General X-ray — chest imaging
- General X-ray — skeletal and bone imaging (fractures, joint injuries)
- General X-ray — abdominal imaging
- Obstetric and antenatal ultrasound
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Pelvic ultrasound
The hospital's own services signboard, confirming X-ray and ultrasound among its outpatient services.
Fast turnaround for urgent cases
Because imaging is on site, a patient with a suspected fracture in casualty or a mother due for a routine scan in antenatal clinic does not need to travel elsewhere — results go straight back to the treating clinician.
What to expect at a Level 4B hospital
X-ray and ultrasound are available on site as part of our Level 4B scope of service. CT, MRI and other advanced imaging are Level 5 services, and patients who need them are referred to a Level 5 hospital.
